Field Testing

Our team has been rigorously testing Woody under real workshop conditions in Oxfordshire, England.

Early results have shown considerable promise. Woody demonstrates a clear enthusiasm for the craft and a genuine eagerness to assist.

Hammer targeting accuracy improved from 12% to 47%
Chisel grip pressure no longer exceeds manufacturer safety limits (most of the time)
Added “please stop” as a recognised voice command

Woody now pauses briefly when operator says “whoa”

Known Issues

Proximity sensors do not yet distinguish between workpiece and woodworker
“Dovetail mode” occasionally triggers “destroy tail mode” — under investigation
Voice command “Woody, I don't know about this” is currently interpreted as encouragement
Woody may offer unsolicited improvements to already-completed work
If Woody repeats the word “Hammer” — please vacate the workshop immediately

Maintain a minimum safe distance of 1.5 metres during operation
Do not make sustained eye contact with Woody for more than 4 seconds
